Early Head Start Home Based Educator – Momentum

Momentum is currently hiring an Early Head Start (EHS) – Home Based Educator for our Torrance clinic. In this role you will collaborate closely with the Early Head Start program to provide high-quality, family-centered services.

$19.00/hr – $21.00/hr

Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 40‑hour work week (full‑time)

• Know, understand, and implement curriculum through planning of developmentally appropriate activities.
• Implement curriculum and provide family support through weekly home, community, and child‑care visits.
• Prepare lesson plans.
• Provide ongoing assessments of infants/toddlers using appropriate assessment tools.
• Organize and facilitate socialization events and family trainings.
• Communicate and provide parents/guardians with feedback, education, and support.
• Prepare written evaluations of each child’s progress.
• Comply with state and local regulations regarding the care of children.
• Participate in data collection, record keeping, and reporting.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet department and/or business needs.

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (required).
• Minimum of 12 semester units in Early Childhood Education (ECE) (required).
• Two (2) years of experience working with children ages birth to 36 months (required).
• Valid and current proof of legal right to drive in California (required).
• Experience working with children with special needs (preferred).
• Experience in Early Head Start or Head Start programs (preferred).
• Bi‑lingual in English/Spanish (strongly preferred).
• Must have first aid and CPR certification.
• Successfully pass all post‑offer, pre‑employment screening requirements, including criminal background check, physical exam, and proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
• Ability to run, push, pull, bend, squat, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds.
