Position: Electrical IQA (Permanent)
Job Title - Electrical IQA
Salary - Up to £43,500 (dependent on experience)
Location - London (Home based with regional travel)
Contract Type - Permanent

We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated Electrical Installations Lecturer/Assessor to join a dynamic team of industry professionals and inspire the next generation of Electric ans.

Role Responsibilities

Monitor and quality assure the work of tutors and training officers, ensuring assessment decisions are fair, consistent, and fully aligned with apprenticeship standards.
Provide supportive feedback, guidance, and coaching to staff to drive continuous improvement in teaching, learning, and assessment practices.
Sample, review, and evaluate learner evidence to meet the requirements of awarding organisations, EPAOs, and internal quality standards.
Produce clear and accurate reports and action plans, monitoring progress and ensuring agreed actions are implemented effectively.
Lead and support external quality assurance activities, including preparation for Ofsted inspections, awarding organisation audits, and other regulatory reviews, providing appropriate evidence and guidance.
Work collaboratively with managers and colleagues to identify trends, share best practice, and address areas requiring development or improvement.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of IQA activity, sampling decisions, and staff development.
Embed safeguarding, Prevent, equality and diversity, British values, and health and safety requirements into all aspects of work.
Maintain up-to-date technical and professional knowledge through CPD, industry engagement, and relevant training activities.

Essential Requirements

Level 3 Electrical qualification (or equivalent) with strong, current industry knowledge.
Recognised assessor qualification (D32, D33, A1, or TAQA).
Demonstrable experience of quality assurance within apprenticeship provision.
Strong understanding of awarding organisation, EPAO, and Ofsted requirements.
Excellent communication, coaching, and organisational skills.
A clear commitment to continuous professional development.

Desirable:

Recognised IQA qualification (V1, D34, or equivalent).
Teaching qualification (e.g. AET, PGCE, or equivalent).
Health and Safety qualification (e.g. IOSH Managing Safely).
Experience using quality management systems and e-portfolio platforms.
