Overview

The Online Program at Perimeter College is the largest online service in the Georgia State University System. The program offers core courses online such as Business Administration and Criminal Justice. Students can combine online and on‑campus courses to complete their degree and schedule needs. Online Student Support Specialist – Newton campus, per Perimeter College (online students). Reports to Senior Director of Online Initiatives. The role is part of a team that supports online students, helping them identify and meet success needs.

• Student Support – prepare and send students information, reminders, nudges, and encouragement via email, text, and phone; respond promptly to student requests; maintain communication with course instructors and use data dashboards to identify at‑risk students.
• Faculty Support – assist faculty with outreach to disengaged students and report findings.
• Data Collection and Reporting – collect, track, and organize student communication and achievement data; generate reports using iPort, Banner, Argos, Excel, and Power BI; recommend changes to improve the student experience.
• Professional Development and Service – stay up to date on campus student services; attend training on job‑related technologies; serve on committees and working groups.

• Bachelor’s degree and two years of administrative experience; or a combination of education and experience.
