Literacy Specialist, Alpha; Remote

We are looking for a Literacy Specialist to join Alpha School’s learning team remotely. In this role you will design, deliver, and evaluate data‑driven reading workshops for early elementary students, and help scale the program nationwide.

Annual salary: $100,000 (approximately $50/hour) with weekly pay. Health benefits begin on the first day, plus HSA/FSA and 401(k) Roth options. Relocation assistance provided for future in‑person deployment, if needed.

• Conduct adaptive reading workshops that strengthen phonics, comprehension, and fluency.
• Create individualized motivational frameworks using gamified literacy benchmarks.
• Review student performance data to improve teaching methods and generate actionable insights.
• Partner with engineering teams to assess and refine AI literacy platforms informed by classroom outcomes.
• Build scalable, AI‑supported instructional content that enables early elementary learners to reach grade‑level reading proficiency.

• Design and execute small‑group reading interventions for early elementary students.
• Assess reading levels and organize students into differentiated instruction teams.
• Use AI/adaptive learning platforms to respond to student interaction patterns.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with curriculum developers, data scientists, and product engineers.
• Maintain rigorous documentation of program outcomes and instructional practices.

• Bachelor’s degree with advanced certification in reading instruction (e.g., Orton‑Gillingham, Wilson).
• Minimum of 2 years delivering small‑group reading interventions to early elementary students.
• Ability to assess reading levels, organize student groups, and create differentiated instruction independently.
• Experience with AI or adaptive learning platforms and ability to interpret student interaction data.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship.
• Available to work remotely; travel for future on‑site meetings is acceptable.

This is a full‑time (40 hours per week) role. The position is available immediately. As a Contractor of Record with Crossover, you will receive weekly payments and the full benefits package previously mentioned.
