The Implementation Specialist provides on‑site support to tutors and tutoring groups at participating Washington Local Elementary Schools, ensuring successful implementation of the Tutor Smart High‑Dosage tutoring model through technical assistance, logistical coordination, and program oversight. This role serves as the critical liaison between school sites and Tutor Smart management, facilitating communication by addressing concerns, sharing feedback, and ensuring timely information flow to optimize student outcomes.
Additional responsibilities include program monitoring, data collection and analysis, and performance reporting to support continuous improvement of the Tutor Smart framework.
- Monitoring tutoring sessions, assisting teachers with problem‑solving, and ensuring accurate data collection and reporting to Tutor Smart and school leadership.
- Collaborating with Tutor Smart programs and data teams through regular meetings to analyze performance data and identify improvement opportunities.
- Building and maintaining relationships with school staff through ongoing feedback collection to preserve the integrity of the tutoring experience.
- Conducting bi‑weekly visits to each tutoring location, ensuring all tutoring groups are observed at least monthly. Coordinate schedules to visit both morning and afternoon sessions as needed.
- Partnering with the designated Literacy Coach (Data Review and Support Specialist) to participate in Data Talks with school leadership following each data cycle.
- Ensuring tutors deliver targeted, data‑driven interventions with fidelity to the Tutor Smart framework.
- Participating in monthly Programs Team meetings to align on‑site tutor support efforts and assess literacy coaching strategy effectiveness.
- Ability to work both independently and as a team member in both remote and in person settings.
- Regularly required to reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, stand, walk and sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to relate well to people with different social, professional, economic and ethnic backgrounds.
- Solid time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creative and effective problem‑solving capabilities.
- Must be proficient with computers and cloud‑based technologies including word processing and spreadsheets with the ability to learn new technologies.
- Must be available (approximately 7‑9am and 3:30‑5pm, M‑Th) and have access to reliable transportation and/or valid Drivers’ License.
- 3‑5 years of experience in educational settings, specifically working with out‑of‑school‑time tutoring/after school programs.
- Great organizational and time‑management abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to problem solve.
- Must meet pre‑employment requirements including background check.
