Overview

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Prospero Teaching are currently seeking experienced and dedicated Tutors to support learners in and around Eastbourne. We've recently received a number of referrals for young people requiring tailored tuition, and we're looking to expand our team to meet this growing demand.

• Deliver engaging and personalised sessions that incorporate elements of Maths and English
• Support learners with a range of needs including SEN, SEMH, EBSA, and those who have experienced PEX
• Work flexibly in various settings, including home-based tuition, community spaces, or alternative education provisions

• Have at least 1 year of experience working within UK schools
• Are confident in planning and delivering creative, learner-centred sessions
• Have experience supporting learners with complex needs
• Are reliable, compassionate, and committed to helping young people thrive

Tutor

• Contract or position start date - ASAP
• Contract or position end date (if applicable) - N/A
• Full time/part-time - Part time
• Hours - Monday to Friday

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young people
• Trauma-informed - desirable

• Hold right to work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide references upon request
• Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
