Job Summary
Under general supervision, provide administrative and programmatic support to the undergraduate program and advisors. Primarily responsible for course scheduling, course enrollment management, evaluations, oversight of grade submission and coordinating DESII instructional reporting, collection of course materials and service fee waivers, and classroom logistics. Manage office administration and outreach and events.

Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position.
- Experience with course scheduling, enrollment management, submission of grades, and classroom logistics. Experience using University related information systems related to course scheduling, course management, and student information systems.
- Experience with logistics of event planning including room reservations, coordinating rentals, and organizing catering.
- Experience identifying students experiencing academic difficulty, in crisis and determining appropriate level of advising or referral to support services and counseling center. Experience serving as a liaison between students, staff and faculty in a degree-oriented program at the university/college level to address, solve and streamline academic needs and concerns of students, instructors and departments.
- Experience developing informational materials, creating reports, and answering correspondence with attention to grammar, proofreading and spelling. Experience using software applications to write, edit, merge and format letters, mailing labels, and reports; to analyze and manage data; and for email and calendaring.
- Working knowledge of academic courses/programs/curriculum, major and college requirements, petitions and certifications in a University setting.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate and interpret complex policies, procedures, and reference materials; to recommend solutions on a variety of issues; and to analyze new and existing policies to develop procedures to meet requirements.
- Knowledge of policies, procedures and applicable laws relating to the maintenance of confidential student records and related sensitive information.
- Knowledge of degree requirements to assist students with academic planning and to support faculty in their curriculum design and course scheduling.
- Knowledge of campus, department and/or college requirements, resources, policies and procedures to interpret complex policies.
- Organizational and time management skills to manage multiple projects and prioritize workload to meet critical deadlines.
- Communication and interpersonal skills to develop and maintain ongoing professional relationships with a diverse constituency including faculty, staff, students, parents, and industry.

The Phoenix Cluster provides administrative support for instructional and research activities in the Departments of Plant Pathology and Entomology and Nematology within the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. There are approximately 45 PIs and 24 administrative cluster staff with over 500 employees in the departments.
This position provides programmatic and scheduling support for the following majors and programs:
Animal Biology, Entomology, Global Disease Biology, the Science and Society Program which includes the Career Discovery Group, and the Research Scholars Program in Insect Biology.
