Amplify Tutoring is seeking remote, part‑time Virtual Tutors to provide small‑group tutoring for students in Kindergarten through Sixth Grade during the 2025‑2026 School Year.

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Fluent English speaker.
• Comfortable and highly skilled with technology.
• Available a minimum of 90 minutes a day, 3 days a week (M‑F) at consistent times during the school day between 8 am‑4 pm ET (ex. Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays 10:00‑11:30). Must be available Wednesdays.
• Have access to a personal laptop or computer with a webcam and microphone. Chromebooks, iPads/tablets, and smartphones cannot be used for this role.
• Enjoys working with Kindergarten‑Sixth Grade students.
• Willing to accept and implement ongoing coaching and feedback.
• Interested in participating in professional development and learning opportunities to help students meet their reading goals.
• MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL TO ANNAPOLIS, MD TO COMPLETE FINGERPRINTING REQUIREMENTS.

• Compensation
  : $18 per hour for delivery of tutoring sessions and $15 per hour for lesson preparation and professional development. Tutors are employed and paid via a 3rd‑party staffing agency as a W‑2 contracted employee. Tutors are compensated for each 30‑minute tutoring session as well as 30 minutes of lesson preparation time for each tutoring session held. Tutors are also compensated for their initial training and ongoing professional development throughout the year.
• Background Checks
  :
  Fingerprinting and background checks will be required. Tutors cannot work with students prior to clearance. Initial fingerprinting costs average $50–$150. Tutors are reimbursed for costs associated with fingerprinting after submission of receipts.
• Equipment
  :
  Curriculum is provided. Tutors must supply their own laptop/computer, webcam and microphone, and headphones. Chromebooks, iPads/tablets, and smartphones cannot be used.
• Location
  :
  Remote part‑time position. Candidates must be physically residing within Maryland and meet U.S. employment eligibility requirements. Tutors should have a private, quiet location free from distractions.
• Scheduling
  :
  Tutors can request to work between 9 and 39 hours per week; most tutors work 9–15 hours per week during the school year. Sessions are conducted exclusively on weekdays. Tutors must be available for a 15‑minute early login prior to their session start. Each tutoring assignment lasts approximately 15 weeks. Tutors are expected to commit to the assigned group for the entire duration.

• Lesson Planning and Delivery
  :
  Tutoring sessions use structured research‑based curriculum. Tutors are compensated for planning and delivering lessons. Tutors are initially trained to conduct literacy‑based lessons. Successful tutors may obtain additional endorsements in math tutoring (grades 3–5), administering literacy assessments, and other special projects.
