We need a leader who can align execution across varied school environments, elevate academic leadership standards, and serve as the public advocate for a movement rooted in rigorous learning science.
WhatYou Will Be Doing
- Develop academic frameworks that convert learning science into actionable direction for curriculum design, motivation systems, and application architecture.
- Conduct academic execution reviews with Heads of Academics to confirm school teams remain aligned, accountable, and results‑driven.
- Integrate data, interviews, and direct observation into comprehensive academic ecosystem assessments that identify the most impactful obstacles to accelerated learning and recommend concrete interventions.
- Ensure strategic alignment via planning processes, feedback mechanisms, and milestone monitoring to sustain focus on student learning objectives.
- Serve as 2 Hour Learning’s representative at the highest levels—from keynote presentations to engagements with Ministries of Education—advancing systemic transformation in global education thinking.
- Working on isolated curriculum initiatives without producing systemic impact.
- Publishing theoretical research disconnected from student outcomes or operational execution.
- Transferring performance accountability to middle management or external consultants.
- Depending on institutional reputation or theoretical arguments to convince skeptical audiences.
Key Responsibilities
Expand and strengthen 2 Hour Learning’s validated academic model by aligning execution across school sites, raising leadership standards, and establishing yourself as the authoritative public voice of a movement anchored in rigorous science and demonstrated results.
Basic Requirements- Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field.
- 7+ years leading academic or EdTech teams with evidence of exceptional learning outcomes.
- Proven experience applying AI or technology to accelerate learning.
- Track record of public thought leadership such as media, keynotes, books, or advising.
- Strong performance management skills with the ability to hold elite peers to a high bar.
- Fluent in interpreting data to diagnose learning issues and direct interventions.
- Comfortable engaging directly with students, parents, and school leaders.
- Founded or led an innovative school model, lab school, or high‑performing EdTech venture.
- Experience navigating cultural, political, or international education contexts.
- Deep familiarity with Bloom’s 2 Sigma research and other mastery learning frameworks.
