VP of Space and Design, 2 Hour Learning (Remote)
Compensation: $200,000 per year (equivalent to $100/hour).
Join Crossover to lead the design and execution of learning campuses across the United States.
We are establishing a nationwide network of 2 Hour Learning campuses. These facilities provide a full academic curriculum in two focused hours, followed by passion projects, life skill development, and physical activity. Your responsibility is to make these environments memorable and operationally scalable.
What You Will Be Doing- Develop modular, self‑service design frameworks for spatial layouts, FF&E, material specifications, and play environments.
- Execute on‑site evaluations using standardized assessment tools to measure compliance with brand standards.
- Prepare detailed, visually documented, budget‑conscious proposals for space improvements.
- Supervise vendor implementation on‑site, maintaining adherence to standards and schedules.
- Complete post‑installation feedback cycles, recording outcomes and refining operational playbooks.
- Creating custom, artisanal environments that cannot be systematized.
- Delivering specifications and disengaging; you own the entire process.
- Delaying action for complete information; this role values rapid iteration.
- Generating unstructured design from a blank slate; work is tightly integrated with brand identity.
- Operating remotely from a desk; you will travel on‑site 50‑75% of the time.
Guarantee that every campus provides a high‑quality, brand‑consistent, pedagogically effective physical environment by developing and implementing scalable modular design systems.
Basic Requirements- 5+ years designing and implementing multi‑location environments in education, retail, hospitality, or co‑working sectors.
- Portfolio demonstrating completed projects that integrate aesthetic excellence with operational feasibility.
- Proven track record developing scalable, standards‑driven design systems.
- Hands‑on management of vendor execution, including quality control and schedule adherence during installation.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills with cross‑functional partners.
- Availability and willingness to travel extensively, 50‑75% of the time, throughout the U.S.

- Background designing premium environments with rigorous quality standards.
- Proficiency with spatial documentation tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Figma, or similar.
- Intuitive ability to recognize what elevates a space to feel premium.
