Educational Technology Specialist, Alpha (Remote) – $100,000/year USD

Alpha School is on a mission to reshape education by harnessing AI to accelerate learning and unleash student potential. We’re looking for an Educational Technology Specialist to lead adaptive reading workshops that fast‑track early elementary students to grade‑level literacy.

As a contractor with Crossover, you will design and execute phonics, fluency, and comprehension workshops; collect and analyze student performance data; partner with engineering to improve the AI platform; and build scalable, AI‑supported materials. The position is full‑time (40 hrs/week) and immediately available.

• Conduct adaptive reading workshops for early elementary learners.
• Create gamified literacy benchmarks to motivate students.
• Review performance data to refine instructional methods.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize AI‑adaptive platforms.
• Build scalable, AI‑supported resources that empower thousands of children.

• Bachelor’s degree with advanced certification in reading instruction (e.g., Orton‑Gillingham, Wilson).
• At least 2 years of experience delivering small‑group reading interventions to early elementary students.
• Expertise in assessing reading levels, grouping students, and designing differentiated instruction.
• Proficiency with AI/adaptive learning tools and responsiveness to student behaviors.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Willingness to work on‑site at one of our campuses (Austin, TX; Fort Worth, TX; Plano, TX; Tampa, FL; Dorado, Puerto Rico) if requested.

$100,000 USD/year ($50/hour), paid weekly. Immediate health coverage, HSA/FSA options, 401(k) Roth. Relocation assistance provided when required.

This is a full‑time, long‑term contractor position. You will enter an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as Contractor of Record.
