Alpha School is demonstrating that literacy transformation doesn't demand 6-hour school days. Our 2-Hour Learning approach combines AI-adaptive platforms with skilled teaching to accelerate reading progress. Your role: create and execute workshops that produce measurable improvements in phonics, fluency, and comprehension for early elementary learners, and then support us in expanding that model to campuses nationwide.

This role isn't about administrative lesson planning. It's about evidence-based teaching, technology partnership, and constructing a reading initiative that serves thousands of students.

• Conduct adaptive reading workshops focused on phonics, comprehension, and fluency development
• Creating individualized motivational experiences using gamified literacy benchmarks
• Reviewing student performance data to refine teaching methods and identify actionable trends
• Partnering with engineering teams to assess and improve AI literacy platforms based on classroom outcomes
• Building scalable, AI-integrated content that supports early elementary students in reaching grade-level reading proficiency

• Bachelor's degree with advanced certification in reading instruction (e.g., Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, or equivalent)
• At least 2 years of experience delivering small-group reading interventions to early elementary students
• Skilled at assessing reading levels, grouping students, and designing differentiated instruction without pre-written curricula
• Proficient with AI/adaptive learning tools and responsive to student behaviors within them
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• Willingness to work on-site at one of our campuses:

  Fort Worth, TX;
  Plano, TX;
  Tampa, FL; or Dorado, Puerto Rico

This is a full‑time (40 hours per week), long‑term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
