Spanish Instructor, Part-time Adjunct Pool - Online
Kern Community College District
Salary: $67.00 hourly
Job Type: Part‑time, Hourly
Location: CC - Online, CA
- Provide instruction in a full range of Spanish courses, including day, evening, weekend, large classes, distance learning, and multiple teaching methodologies.
- Participate in student recruitment and articulation of transfer programs.
- Maintain subject‑matter currency, develop and revise curriculum, and use computer and multimedia technology.
- Engage in collegial participation in departmental, college, and discipline‑specific professional activities.
- Master's in Spanish; or
- Bachelor's in Spanish AND Master's in another language or linguistics; or
- Valid credential authorizing full‑time teaching of Spanish at the California Community College level; or
- Equivalent combination of education, experience, and other accomplishments (Applicants must submit an EQUIP form).
- Demonstrated sensitivity to diverse student backgrounds.
- Work effectively with colleagues to promote innovation, teaching, learning, and service to diverse students.
- Work effectively with students possessing a wide range of skills and goals.
- Develop curriculum, including multimodal delivery.
- Participate in recruitment and articulation activities.
- Communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
- Maintain subject‑matter currency.
- Assess student learning outcomes.
- Knowledge of computers and willingness to explore new technology.
- Commitment to the California community college mission.
