Scope of the roleThis role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
The Education Outreach team works in partnership with teams across the University in promoting the University so that we recruit the brightest and best students irrespective of background. The team develop and deliver a range of on campus events and travel across the country attending Higher Education events and delivering presentations and workshops. The team is instrumental in leading and supporting our co-ordinated and focused approach to outreach.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs Education Outreach Coordinator you will have a challenging and varied role. You will be highly skilled at managing a diverse and dynamic workload efficiently, working with high attention to detail, as part of a team but also with the ability to use your own initiative to plan, work and make decisions independently. The role often involves working on various projects at one time so you will need to possess the ability to manage your time effectively.
You should be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to initiate, build and manage communication mechanisms, establishing effective working relationships, dealing diplomatically with a wide range of people and maintaining confidentiality. You will be responsible for coordinating the recruitment and payroll of a number of Education Outreach Fellows (post-graduate student workers) as well as supporting the recruitment of Student Ambassadors across the service.
You will provide financial management support and deliver administrative processes needed for the smooth delivery of our nationwide programme of outreach. You will be expected to contribute and support other areas of the wider function of Educational Engagement.
