Overview and ResponsibilitiesThis pivotal role will drive the successful rollout of UWS’s new Virtual Learning Environment (D2L Brightspace), replacing Aula. Acting as the operational hub, you’ll coordinate delivery across Schools, IT, Registry, and Learning Transformation to ensure milestones are met within a tight 10-month timeline. Responsibilities include managing training logistics, content migration, module set-up, and progress tracking, while aligning technical implementation with academic engagement and institutional readiness.
You’ll also support related projects such as the Banner upgrade and Curriculum Management System to ensure seamless integration. Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills are essential.
- A degree level qualification in relevant subject or equivalent professional experience in relevant field.
- Experience or training in change management or organisational development.
- Relevant professional accreditation (e.g. CMALT, Advance
HE, ADKAR, Kotter, Prosci). - Experience leading or significantly contributing to large-scale project implementations, ideally in higher education and VLEs.
- Proven track record in stakeholder engagement and relationship management across diverse groups including academic staff, professional services, and students.
- Experience tracking project progress, managing schedules, and reporting on delivery milestones.
- Experience coordinating complex activities involving multiple stakeholder groups.
- Demonstrated success in managing competing priorities and delivering to tight deadlines in pressured environments.
