CTE Teacher – Family and Consumer Science (FACS)
Stride, Inc. is seeking a remotely based, full‑time CTE Teacher to deliver online Family and Consumer Science instruction within the Indiana Digital Learning School (INDLS) platform.
Job SummaryAs a highly qualified, state‑certified educator, you will design and deliver synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences, support students and families, and collaborate with learning coaches to advance student achievement. You will also appear at school functions and state testing events as required.
Certifications & Licenses- Active Indiana teaching license in Family and Consumer Science (FACS).
- Must be a resident of Indiana; residents of surrounding states (MI, OH, KY, IL) may be considered.
Base salary $46,000 – $50,000 annually, plus eligibility for performance bonus. Benefits include health, retirement contributions, and paid time off.

Responsibilities- Provide rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students.
- Commit to personalizing learning for all students.
- Demonstrate a belief in all students’ ability to succeed and meet high expectations.
- Differentiates instruction based on student level of mastery.
- Augment course content per prescribed policies and procedures using appropriate tools.
- Maintain grade book, ensure academic integrity, make placement and promotion decisions, and alert administrators to concerns.
- Prepare students for high‑stakes standardized tests.
- Establish and maintain positive rapport with families; communicate regularly and respond in a timely manner.
- Support learning coaches/parents with curricular and instructional issues and basic troubleshooting in a virtual classroom environment.
- Travel as required (approximately 20% of the time) for professional development, student testing, and school functions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and active state teaching license.
- Ability to clear required background check.
- Experience working with the proposed age group.
- Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology.
- Experience teaching online and/or in a brick‑and‑mortar environment.
- Experience with online learning platforms.
- Ability to collaborate with teachers using student data to drive instruction.
- Receptive to coaching from administrators and teacher trainers.
- Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure student outcomes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to learn new technologies and teaching platforms rapidly.
- Maintain teacher certification, professional development hours, and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum.

Work EnvironmentThis position is virtual. You will work independently, typically 40+ hours per week, and maintain a professional home office free of distractions during the workday.
