Middle School Boys Soccer Coach – YES Prep Southwest Secondary (Immediate Opening)

Position: Coach
Reports To: Athletic Director
Location: Campus
Compensation: $20.00 per hour (25-26 Academic Year)
Schedule: 4-5 hours/week for 6-8 weeks

- Organize practices and games.
- Monitors academic progress of student athletes throughout the school year.
- Issue and collect uniforms.
- Provide orientation of the program to all student athlete participants.
- Communicate with coaches and athletic director about progression of student athletes and the team.
- Ensure that the athlete is a student first; academics have priority over athletics.
- Be on time to all scheduled athletic events.
- Practice with a plan and purpose.
- Train each student‑athlete to become in the best physical condition possible.
- Put the team first, and the individual second.
- Stay with the team until all student‑athletes and their parents/guardians are accounted for.
- Collect athlete documentation such as physicals and other important paperwork in a designated Athletics Binder to remain in compliance with State and YES Prep policies.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- 0‑3 years of coaching experience.
- Strong knowledge of specific sport including rules, terminology, etc.
- Must hold a valid certification for both CPR and AED use from a nationally recognized organization, or attend a district required training to become certified within a given time frame.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four‑year educational institution.
- Continued Education in specific sport.
- Coached specific sport.
- Experience working with kids.
- Compensation – This position is a temporary, non‑exempt, hourly position. 20‑21 rates are not guaranteed for future school years.
