Key Responsibilities- Provide rich synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences.
- Commit to personalizing learning for all students.
- Demonstrate belief in all students’ ability to succeed.
- Differentiates instruction based on mastery level.
- Augment course content using asynchronous and synchronous tools under guidance.
- Maintain grade book, student placement, promotion decisions, alert administrators about performance concerns.
- Prepare students for high‑stakes standardized tests.
- Establish positive rapport with families, communicate timely with students and learning coaches.
- Support learning coaches and parents with curriculum issues and troubleshoot in virtual classroom.
- Travel as required (average once per month, approximately 20% of the time).
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Active state teaching license.
- Ability to clear required background check.
- Experience working with the proposed age group.
- Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology.
- Experience teaching online or brick‑and‑mortar environments.
- Experience with online learning platforms.
- Collaborative skills to interpret and produce student data and use it to drive instruction.
- Open to receiving coaching from administrators and teacher trainers.
- Adaptability and change embrace.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Rapid learning of new technologies and teaching platforms.
- Maintain teacher certification / professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs and curriculum.
Active Middle School 4‑8 Generalist or 4‑8 Science Certificate.
Residency RequirementsThis is a virtual position that strongly prefers residents of Texas. May consider residents of surrounding states (NM, OK, AR, LA). Travel up to 20% of the time for face‑to‑face professional development, student testing, and/or as required by the school.
Salary & Benefits$49K plus eligibility for a performance bonus.
Work EnvironmentThis position is virtual. Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week, professional home office, and 9‑5 or 8‑4 as defined by the school.
