Overview

Part-Time Remote Tutor (Academic Support) at Revolution Prep. Make a meaningful difference in students’ lives—from home. This is a W-2 role with paid training, prep time, and a supportive community. Our in-house curriculum and resources let you focus on teaching.

Lead dynamic academic support tutoring sessions (90%). Share educational progress with students and families (5%). Utilize our curated resources for planning (5%). Part-time: 12-hour delivery target with 16 hours of availability or 20-hour delivery target with 24 hours availability, including evenings and weekends.

Pay: $20 per hour for tutoring; prep and training time compensated at $10 per hour or your local minimum wage (whichever is higher).

• Completed a minimum of two years at an accredited university; additional qualifications a plus
• Authorization to work in the U.S. and current residence required
• Minimum of one semester teaching or tutoring experience
• Reliable high-speed internet and quiet, professional space; technology kit provided if needed (webcam, headset, ring light, green screen, annotation tablet)
• Ability to commit to the same 16 or 24 hours of availability week-on-week during weekday afternoons/evenings and at least 8 hours of weekends

• Part-time: 16 or 24 hours of availability per week, at least 8 hours on weekends
• Prime-time hours posted:
  Mon-Thu 4–10 pm ET;
  Sat 9 am–6 pm ET;
  Sun 11 am–10 pm ET
• Weekend availability required; post schedules 9+ months ahead preferred; submit time-off requests 4 weeks in advance

• Paid onboarding training and ongoing professional development
• No competing for hours; hours based on availability and subject expertise
• Tech kit provided if needed

Background check is required for all tutors. You’ll be asked to post consistent availability and will be notified if booked for a session with at least 48 hours notice.

• What educational qualifications are needed? At least two years completed at an accredited university.
• What subjects are needed? At least three of the subject groupings listed (e.g., AP Chemistry, AP Biology, AP Calculus, Python, English, Spanish, Math, etc.).
• Is tech provided? A tech kit is provided if needed (webcam, headset, green screen, annotation tablet).
• Is there a background check? Yes, a comprehensive background check is required.
