OpportunityThe Instructional Designer will join One Digital’s Learning and Development (L&D) team, reporting to the Learning Consultant. They will assist in designing and developing instructional materials and e-learning content, collaborating with members of the L&D team to improve existing courses. Responsibilities include gathering and synthesizing feedback from learners, providing recommendations for improvement in learning design, and implementing changes to courses to publish new versions.
The ideal candidate has relevant degrees/certifications and strong communication, organizational, and design skills, and has experience using e-learning authoring tools and other multimedia creation tools.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Engage in needs analysis by partnering with stakeholders to identify performance gaps and learning needs, translating business goals into measurable learning objectives
- Design and develop learning solutions using instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM, Agile), grounded in Adult Learning Theory and cognitive science, to create engaging and effective content
- Leverage AI tools to enhance the design and development phase of the creation process
- Enhance existing training content by applying instructional design principles and adult learning strategies to improve visual appeal, interactivity, and learner engagement
- Ensure accessibility and inclusivity by designing content that meets Section 508 and WCAG standards, addressing diverse learner needs through inclusive design practices
- Evaluate learning effectiveness by developing assessments, surveys, and feedback tools, and analyzing data to inform continuous improvement and demonstrate ROI, as needed
- Synthesize feedback from learners, SMEs, and L&D team members to document and implement enhancements
- Support administrative tasks and processes and perform LMS administration, as needed
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, One Note), required
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or Learning Experience Platforms (LXP), required
- Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools and other instructional design tools (e.g., Adobe Captivate, Articulate (360, Rise, or Storyline), Adobe Creative Cloud, Camtasia, Vyond), required
- Proficiency in Canva, preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong written and verbal communication and organization skills
- Must be self-motivated, disciplined, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Master’s/bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design & Technology, or master’s/bachelor's degree in related field, required

- eLearning Specialist certification, preferred
- Experience applying WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines), preferred
- Experience applying Adult Learning Theory or Instructional Design principles, preferred
The typical base pay range for this role nationwide is $28 to $31 per hour.
