Remote ESL teacher

Cosmo is a premier online learning platform connecting students in the US, Canada, and Asia with tutors from top universities and colleges. As a Remote ESL Teacher, you will provide 50‑minute, one‑on‑one lessons to ESL students based in Singapore and Hong Kong using the Cosmo curriculum.

The pay rate is $20 USD per class, with additional incentives.

• Provide personalized 1‑on‑1 instruction for your students
• Update your availability in the Cosmo app in a timely manner
• Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student’s age and ability
• Submit class feedback after each lesson
• Communicate with parents and students in a professional manner
• Attend all classes on time in a professional setting
• Communicate with Cosmo staff

• Bachelor’s degree
• 3 years of experience teaching grades K‑12 in ELA
• Experience with K‑12 ELA standards and curriculum
• Experience teaching ESL learners
• Teaching qualification preferred but not required
• Fast and reliable internet connection and access to a Windows or Mac PC with a minimum CPU of 6000
• Able to commit to a minimum of 6 months of teaching with Cosmo 1:1
• Available between 8‑2 PM GMT on Monday‑Friday or 5 AM‑2 PM GMT on weekends
• Minimum 20 hours of weekly availability
• Access to a private and quiet location
• Passion for helping students learn
• Currently located in the UK
• Approachable, patient, adaptive, considerate, enthusiastic, reliable teacher qualities
