We are seeking a dedicated on-site Health Care Assistant (HCA) Instructor to support students and prepare them for the healthcare workforce. This position primarily involves teaching an online theory course from our Nanaimo, BC campus. The role ensures students receive a comprehensive educational experience that meets regulatory standards and industry expectations. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical knowledge, a supportive teaching approach, and a commitment to student success.

This part-time role offers up to 34 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexible hours and potential for future advancement. It includes a one-week summer break for work-life balance.

Rate Range: $32 to $35/hour

Course Duration: September 2nd, 2025, to November 25th, 2025

• Facilitate student learning, providing guidance and support.
• Prepare and deliver lesson plans, activities, and assessments aligned with course objectives.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation standards, guidelines, and policies.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and evaluations.

• Minimum two years of full-time nursing experience, including:
• 2800 hours of nursing practice
• Experience working with older adults with complex health needs
• Experience or orientation in home support and multi-level care

• Provincial Instructors Diploma and prior experience, or
• Aptitude and willingness to obtain an Instructor Diploma (with support)
