General PurposeAssist undergraduate and graduate nursing students with practice and competency evaluation of nursing skills in a supportive, nurturing, clinical environment. Participate in Simulation Based Education (SBE) across nursing curriculums.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Provide nursing students with the support necessary to practice nursing skills.
- Administer competency evaluation of psychomotor skills for undergraduate students with reinforcement and remediation of nursing skills as warranted.
- Facilitate simulation experiences: setup, scenario competency, breakdown of environment, and debriefing.
- Assist with the day-to-day activities of the CLC.
- Assist with maintenance of laboratory environment, inventory of supplies and equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (Registered Nurse, B.S.N.)
- 5 to 8 years of clinical/simulation experience
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Daily contact requiring courtesy, discretion, and sound judgment.
Salary InformationThe hiring hourly rate for this position is $40.00. This hourly pay rate represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation at the time of posting.
