With EF Teach Online, you will participate in an immersive learning experience without the need to create your own materials. You will have access to ready‑made lesson plans and thousands of students who are ready to learn at any time of the day, as our classes are available 24/7, all year round. We also provide an online classroom, Hyperclass, which offers an immersive experience, allowing both you and the student to fully engage with the subject.

Flexibility is a key benefit: there is no minimum number of teaching hours required. We offer conversational group lessons (45 minutes) as well as one‑on‑one lessons (40 minutes). No formal teaching experience is required, so you can jump into the world of ESL right away!

This is a remote position for anyone based in South Africa.

Our hourly rates range from 60 to 87 South African Rand.

To ensure a successful application, teachers must meet the following requirements:

• C2 or fluent‑like proficiency in English.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• 40‑hour TEFL or TESOL certificate. Alternatively, we accept CELTA, DELTA, and university teaching degrees in TEFL/TESOL only.
• Previous teaching experience is a plus.
• Important Note:
  
  a bachelor’s degree and teaching certificate are minimum requirements. We cannot move forward with a candidate’s application without them.

• CPU:
  Intel i5 or higher (10th generation or higher) or AMD Ryzen 5 3000 or higher with Nvidia GTX 1050 GPU or higher or Mac (M1 Chip/2020 or newer, or Intel i5 10th generation+).
• Memory: 8 GB or higher.
• OS:
  Windows 10+ or Mac OS X 10.13.
