Position Summary

The Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an 18‑month program designed for working adults. The ABA Program mission is to prepare students to be professionally competent, compassionate, ethical practitioners of applied behavior analysis who work with individuals diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. Adjunct Faculty are scholars and professionals who teach in their area(s) of specialization and expertise.

The primary affiliation of adjunct faculty is not with the university.

    Description:

    Introduces common behavior analytic skill assessments and instructional strategies for individuals with disabilities. Students learn to assess strengths and needs and to deliver evidence‑based instructional strategies based on assessment results.

    Functional Behavior Assessments & Interventions for Safety‑Related Behaviors


    Description:

    Provides information about functional behavior assessment and intervention strategies to reduce safety‑related behaviors (e.g., aggression, self‑harm, elopement) and increase positive behavioral repertoires.

    Behavior Measurement and Research Methods in Applied Behavior Analysis


    Description:

    Covers basic behavior measurement and research methodologies with an emphasis on single‑case research designs. Students develop competence in measurement, graphic representation, and data‑based decision making and learn about socially valid research and human subjects protection.

    Description:

Starting Pay

$39 per hour

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education:

    Doctoral or Master’s degree in Psychology, Special Education, ABA, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Experience:

    At least three (3) years of experience as a School Psychologist. Preferred experience as an Educational Psychologist through the BBS (LEP).

  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently and be self‑motivated.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail; strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to explain complex requirements clearly and concisely.
  • Flexibility with workflow to meet departmental and student needs and manage multiple tasks within deadlines.
  • Drive to encourage, direct, hold accountable, and guide candidates toward task completion.
  • Effective teamwork and interpersonal relationship building with students and Alliant employees.
