High School Health Science CTE Teacher – Stride, Inc.
We are seeking a state‑certified, Arkansas–based Health Science CTE Teacher to deliver online instruction for our Arkansas Virtual Academy (ARVA). This is a full‑time remote position with a professional home office requirement and a daily work schedule of 9‑5 (or 8‑4).
Required Certificates and Licenses- Current Arkansas Department of Education Health Science Teaching Certification.
- Must reside in Arkansas.

The CRE/CTE Teacher will provide synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences, manage the learning process, support students and families, and prepare students for post‑secondary success using K12’s learning management system and tools such as Career Builder and Career Cruising.
Essential Functions- Provide engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students.
- Commit to personalizing learning for all students.
- Demonstrate belief in students’ ability to succeed and meet high expectations.
- Differentiates instruction based on student mastery levels.
- Augment course content according to prescribed policies and procedures.
- Maintain a grade book and ensure academic integrity.
- Prepare students for high‑stakes standardized tests.
- Build a positive rapport with families, communicating regularly and responding promptly.
- Support learning coaches and parents with curricular issues and basic troubleshooting.
- Apply knowledge of State, National, and Industry standards.
- Develop instructional tools and strategies to supplement curriculum.
- Collaborate with the school and national professional learning community.
- Administer and proctor certification assessments when applicable.
- Serve as an advisor for Career & Technical Student Organization.
- Help the CTE Program Coordinator create work‑based learning partnerships.
- Support a project‑based learning model.
- Travel up to 20% of the time for professional development and student testing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Active state teaching license.
- Clear required background check.

- Collaborate with other teachers to analyze student data and drive instruction.
- Accept coaching from administrators and teacher trainers.
- Embrace change to ensure excellent student outcomes.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Rapidly learn new technologies and teaching platforms.
- Maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems.
- Experience with the proposed age group.
- Experience supporting adults and children in technology use.
- Experience teaching in an online or brick‑and‑mortar environment.
- Experience with online learning platforms.
