Veterinary Student Representative
Join Hometown Veterinary Partners (HVP) as a Veterinary Student Representative and help empower future veterinarians. HVP is on a mission to build a community where all viewpoints are heard, and to give veterinarians the opportunity to build careers and equity without needing to invest their own money.
Job OverviewAs a liaison between HVP and veterinary students, you will promote HVP’s values, services, and opportunities, gather insights, and represent the company at a range of campus events.
Responsibilities- Represent HVP at campus events, career fairs, and student organization meetings.
- Assist in organizing and hosting informational sessions, workshops, and webinars.
- Provide feedback and insights on student interests, concerns, and trends to help shape company initiatives.
- Engage with students through social media and other digital platforms to raise awareness about HVP.
- Learn, share with HVP, and adhere to all rules and regulations of your college of veterinary medicine regarding corporate campus presence.
- Identify and maintain relationships with deans, faculty, student affairs offices, career counselors, and student representatives.
- Participate in representative meetings and training sessions to stay informed about company updates.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create and distribute promotional materials on campus.
- Serve as a point of contact for students interested in learning more about HVP and opportunities.
- Currently enrolled in an AVMA accredited Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or similar program.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Enthusiasm for representing HVP and promoting its values.
- Previous experience in a leadership or ambassador/representative role is a plus.
- Proficient in using social media platforms for promotional purposes.
- Ability to remain in the role for one school year with the option for continuation based on mutual review at the end of the school year.
- $1,500 annual stipend, paid in two installments.
