Position at UC Davis Health Informatics – Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing, Sacramento, CA.
SummaryClinical Nurse Educator 3 will teach clinical rotations for the Master’s Entry Program in Nursing (MEPN) pre‑licensure graduate degree. The instructor will lead students in various hospitals and community agencies that meet the California Board of Registered Nursing requirements, collaborate with didactic faculty, and support continuous evaluation of program effectiveness.
Responsibilities- 5% – Orientation and Annual Updates
- 75% – Instruction and Student Mentoring
- 15% – Feedback and Evaluation
- 5% – Site Liaison
- Collaborate with faculty to ensure all course objectives are met for each student.
- Design and deliver clinical instruction, incorporating assessment and feedback mechanisms.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for learning outcomes.
- Valid California Registered Nurse License without restriction.
- Master’s degree in nursing (or bachelor’s with nursing degree).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical‑surgical, critical care, pediatrics, maternity, community health, or mental health nursing.
- Demonstrated strategic and tactical leadership ability to achieve program vision.
- Experience implementing learner assessment systems and presenting data for program improvement.
- Strong interpersonal and cross‑cultural communication skills with faculty, staff, and diverse students.
- Excellent organizational and decision‑making skills under ambiguity.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of student and patient information.
- Knowledge of UC affirmative action policies and inclusion initiatives.
- Appointment subject to approval to teach by the California Board of Registered Nursing.
