DescriptionThe Department of Surgery at Emory University School of Medicine is looking for a Board-certified general surgeon seeking additional training in trauma/surgical critical care to join our faculty for a one-year Non-ACGME fellowship. Applicants of the 2025 Surgical Critical Care Fellowship Match must submit job applications using the Emory Careers Website. The Emory University Fellowship programs were created to foster the development of high-quality fellowships included but not limited to General/GI, Oncology, Transplant, Plastics, Trauma/Surgical Care, and Cardiothoracic Surgery.
The Department of Surgery of Emory University at Grady Memorial Hospital, Atlanta, Georgia, is actively seeking a qualified candidate at the PGY7 level for a Trauma fellowship position. This is a Non-ACGME fellowship position overseen by Jason Sciarretta, MD. The year on the trauma service involves operative experience with acute vascular, thoracic, and abdominal injuries. Comprehensive care of the injured patient is a major focus, with fellows covering the resuscitation bay, emergency general surgery, operating room, clinic, and postoperative care.
NOTE:
Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
