Role Overview
Fraser Health is embracing virtual methods to enhance patient care. This fully remote position is part of the Virtual Psychiatry Unit, delivering acute mental health and substance use care across the Fraser Health Region.
Responsibilities- Consult at the Virtual Psychiatry Unit and engage patients in their homes or via virtual channels.
- Provide outreach to patients' residences and consult with assisted living and long‑term care facilities.
- Collaborate with patients’ attending physicians and provide consultation liaison within MHSU.
- Conduct assessments, outpatient treatment, family meetings, case conferences, and discharge planning.
- Educate psychiatry residents and medical students.
- Maintain continuity of care and advocate for the psychiatric needs of patients.
- Qualified or eligible Psychiatrist.
Combination compensation type.
