$2,045.45/day (less overhead) plus on-call after-hours and weekend stipend
Family Physician – trauma-informed, culturally competent, comfortable with an EM on-call component. Fly-in/fly-out on a 2 week in/2 week out basis from any Canadian location. You will be one of two physicians on duty in a state-of-the-art northern hospital with a well-supplied and supported ER, a small number of inpatients and a weekday clinic. There is also a requirement to offer regular day-clinics in some outpost locations that are one-day fly in or drive-in occasions -- no overnights required in these locations.
JobQualifications
Fully qualified and licensed physicians with a focus on relationship-based practice and a passion for northern medicine. Minimum requirements include a CCFP or equivalent experience, as well as up to date ACLS. ATLS, ALARM, PALS, NRP, or any other training that will equip you for the north, such as flight medicine would be very beneficial. A full, unrestricted licence to practice in Saskatchewan is a must.
Prior to starting this position (or within your first year of northern practice) you will be required to complete an online course through the University of Saskatchewan College of Medicine called “The Role of Practitioners in Indigenous Wellness”.

All accommodation is covered in single-occupancy condo for the duration of your rotation.
Additional InformationStony Rapids and environs is a beautiful remote northern Saskatchewan region on the eastern edge of Lake Athabasca and is approximately 80km from the NWT border. It is a popular area with outdoor enthusiasts, hunters and sport fishers.
