We are looking for Board-Certified Family Medicine and Internal Medicine physicians to support our clinical review services. In this role, you’ll evaluate Prior Authorization requests for treatments, medications, SNF placements, DME, and other services. Reviewers rely on nationally recognized medical standards and health plan criteria to deliver objective, expert assessments while upholding ERISA/DOL and state regulatory requirements.
About UsSince 1983, the Medical Review Institute of America (MRIoA) has been a leading provider of technology-driven utilization management and clinical review services. Our longstanding reputation is built on quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
At MRIoA, our physician reviewers are essential to our mission. You are not just supporting a process—you are a vital part of our organization and the high standards we maintain.
Role SummaryPhysician reviewers examine Prior Authorization submissions—covering treatments, medications, SNF stays, DME, and more—to determine whether requests meet evidence-based clinical guidelines and health plan policies. Reviews must reflect impartial judgment and comply with ERISA/DOL requirements along with applicable state regulations.

This is a 1099 Independent Contractor arrangement, giving you the freedom to structure your own work schedule.
Additional Details- You will be covered under MRIoA’s Errors and Omissions insurance (traditional malpractice coverage is not required).
- Work can be performed from any location within the U.S. (patient information cannot be accessed outside of the U.S.).
