The Department of Urology seeks to fill a two-year Clinical Instructor advanced training position in the Division of Endourology. Practice will be primarily at University Hospital (up to one day of clinic per week) with operative privileges to perform endoscopic stone management. This position will be under the mentorship of Drs. Casey Dauw, Khurshid Ghani, Will Roberts and Sapan Ambani. The selected candidate may also be credentialed to perform endourologic surgery at Chelsea Hospital for several operative days per week under the supervision of Dr.
Dauw. Time allocated for research may be approximately 20% of the appointment.
- Clinical duties in endourology with operative privileges to perform endoscopic stone management at University Hospital (up to one day of clinic per week).
- Collaborate under the mentorship of designated faculty (Drs. Casey Dauw, Khurshid Ghani, Will Roberts, and Sapan Ambani).
- May be credentialed to perform endourologic surgery at Chelsea Hospital for several operative days per week under supervision.
- Allocate time for research, approximately 20% of the appointment.
- MD or DO degree, or equivalent, and board certified or board-eligible.
- Completed urology residency before July 2026.
- Hold or have the ability to obtain the appropriate medical licenses in the state of Michigan.
- Evidence of clinical competence is expected.
- Evidence of scholarly activity (publications in peer-reviewed journals, presentations at national meetings, experience in quality improvement initiatives, etc.) is also expected.
