Job Title: Diagnostic Radiologist – Vascular and Interventional Radiology (Remote ED Coverage)

Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Diagnostic Radiologist specializing in Vascular and Interventional Radiology to provide remote coverage for Emergency Department (ED) cases. This position offers an excellent opportunity for experienced radiologists to contribute to high-quality patient care while enjoying flexible scheduling and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide remote diagnostic interpretation of ED imaging studies, focusing on vascular and interventional radiology procedures.
  • Cover overnight shifts (11 pm to 7 am EST), with an average of 80-120 ED cases per 8-hour shift.
  • Participate in resident teaching and supervision, fostering educational development in a mentorship role.
  • Collaborate with onsite clinicians to ensure timely and accurate radiologic assessments.
  • Maintain comprehensive case logs; submission of recent NPDB reports (within 30 days) and clean malpractice records are required at the time of application.
  • Ability to provide at least 7 shifts per month; candidates available for a minimum of 1 week per month will also be considered.
Qualifications:
  • Board certification or eligibility in Radiology with specialization or extensive experience in Vascular and Interventional Radiology.
  • Valid and current medical license in the state of practice.
  • DEA waiver or ability to obtain one, as this position does not require a DEA registration but does require a waiver for prescribing controlled substances.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision.
  • Proven proficiency in interpreting emergency imaging studies with attention to detail.
  • Submission of case logs, recent NPDB report, and clean malpractice history required.
  • BLS certification is not required for remote shifts; additional certifications are a plus.
