Responsibilities*Our hematopathology team is hiring a Clinical Assistant Professor. This faculty member supports the University Hospitals and Comprehensive Cancer Center at Michigan Medicine, which provide general hospital services and specialized hematologic malignancy care (including stem cell transplantation) for adult and pediatric patients. The diagnostic hematopathology service consists of bone marrow and lymph node biopsies originating from local clinical programs and an established consultation service.
These services are supported by high quality flow cytometry, cytogenetics, molecular genetics, immunohistochemistry, and core hematology laboratories. We also provide reference laboratory services in flow cytometry and molecular diagnostics to several regional and national clients.
The selected individual will share in the diagnostic service work and participate in the diverse research and educational actives of the Department, including teaching medical students, pathology residents and clinical fellows.
Required Qualifications *Candidates must have an M.D. or D.O. and be board-certified/eligible in Hematopathology, Anatomic and/or Clinical Pathology, and have specialized training in Molecular Genetic Pathology.
