Role Location and ScheduleJoin our team in a regional role based in Trail, with on-site or remote work and occasional visits to Nelson once or twice a month.
Role ContextWe provide medical imaging services to the community. You will work at KBRH, KLH, Castlegar and District Community Health Centre, Grand Forks’ Boundary District Hospital, Slocan Community Health Centre, and Arrow Lakes Hospital in Nakusp. At KBRH, there is a new MRI and a CT wing planned; two CT scanners at KBRH and KLH; four ultrasound imaging centers; basic interventional radiology;
a diagnostic mammography center; nuclear medicine and bone densitometry.
We welcome new graduates or those interested in locum opportunities during the recruitment process. Leadership development through Interior Health’s NAVIG8 Program. 13 weeks of leave, with additional leave as needed.
Qualifications- Eligible for Fellowship with the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC)
- Eligible for licensure with CPSBC
- Canadian Medical Protective Association coverage is mandatory
- Provide medical imaging services at listed facilities.
- On-call requirements:
No on-call.
- Compensation type:
Fee for Service - Salary Range: FFS, with total earnings among the highest in BC Radiology groups
- Relocation reimbursement up to $9,000 within BC, $12,000 within Canada, $15,000 outside Canada (with eligible receipts)
- Rural incentives:
Recruitment incentive $15,000;
Fee premium 11.48%; RCME funding up to $6,600/year after 4 years in practice - 13 weeks of leave; additional leave as needed
Relocation incentives are subject to change; current rates are confirmed at the time of offer. Candidates with BC or Canada student loans may be eligible for loan forgiveness programs. The Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital serves 85,000 residents with comprehensive care and a 24-hour High Acuity Response Team (HART).
