The Remote Technology & Asset Manager oversees the planning, implementation, and support of all remote technical production facilities and sports events broadcast by Pac-12 Enterprises. This role will also serve as a technical consultant to the Conference and to the above- and below-the-line crew, Unit Managers, campus partners, and external vendors. The role will manage all equipment logistics, shipping, and asset tracking for studio and campus locations.

The Pac-12 office is based in San Ramon, CA. The position is a hybrid role with in-office responsibilities in San Ramon, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage, track, and maintain all network equipment inventory in the studio and across Pac-12 campuses.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and technical issues with Unit Managers and Campus Liaisons; coordinate repairs, replacements, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee all technical aspects of Pac-12 Enterprises' remote broadcasts.
  • Serve as a technical consultant to Pac-12 universities on venue upgrades, connectivity, temporary TV compounds, camera positions, and other elements impacting live sports coverage.
  • Track equipment and materials budgets for the Remote Operations department.
  • Oversee shipping and logistics for all equipment used in remote productions at universities and championship venues.
  • Coordinate and schedule training programs for crew members and university students to improve broadcast quality.
  • Communicate daily with vendors and internal partners, including Production Managers, on-site management, Remote Producers/Directors, and Engineering, to ensure technical needs are met.
  • Collaborate with campus Asset Managers to maintain or replace inventory.
  • Review show reports and respond to technical issues requiring follow-up.
  • Support traveling production teams on all technical aspects of major events, including football, basketball, and championships.
  • Serve as Technical Manager for football, basketball, championship events, and other productions requiring elevated support.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in remote technical operations, preferably in live sports.
  • Experience coordinating facilities and equipment with Production Managers, Engineering staff, and Crewers.
  • Sports production budget management experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong understanding of live sports production technologies (TX facilities, remote units, audio, video, graphics, etc.).
  • Excellent verbal, written, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong judgment and ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and external partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and during peak seasons; travel required.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • Experience working in culturally diverse environments and supporting a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Passionate about sports.
