Senior Landscape Architect | Technical Lead

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Landscape Architect | Technical Lead to take a leading role in the studio's project work. This is a dual role: part design leadership, part technical production. This position is well-suited to a design professional who is equally comfortable directing a concept presentation and drafting construction details in CAD and takes pride in the full range of what the profession demands.

You will work closely with the firm principal on resort and luxury residential projects, managing client relationships, coordinating consultant teams, and guiding projects through every phase. Remote work is available for well-qualified candidates with experience managing projects and teams remotely. Periodic travel to project sites and the studio is expected.

• Lead projects from initial concept through construction administration, ensuring design quality and intent are maintained at every phase.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and consultant coordination to keep complex, multi-disciplinary efforts on track.
• Prepare comprehensive construction documents, site details, and technical specifications.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and project teams, building lasting professional relationships.
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to a studio culture where craft and curiosity are equally valued.
• Support business development through RFP/Q responses, project interviews, and scope-of-work discussions.
• Travel to project sites domestically and internationally as needed.

Required

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in landscape architecture.
• Degree in Landscape Architecture or Architecture from an accredited program.
• Licensed, or actively pursuing licensure.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong design instincts and a refined aesthetic sensibility.
• Clear, confident written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel to project sites nationally and internationally on an occasional basis.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States (H-1B visa sponsorship is not available).

Preferred

• Demonstrated experience with large-scale resort, hospitality, or luxury residential projects.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software (Rhino, Sketch Up, Lumion, or similar).
• Familiarity with AI-assisted visualization tools such as Midjourney.
• Experience with Bluebeam Revu for construction document management.
• Proven ability to lead and manage remote project teams.
• Knowledge of tropical or warm-weather planting palettes.

• Annual salary range: $90,000–$130,000, commensurate with experience.
