THE ROLE

Our client is looking for an experienced Architectural Technologist / Technician, with a strong background in creating construction documents and working drawings in Revit, ideally across public, community and institutional projects. As part of a team, you will work with architects to translate design intent into technical solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and refining detailed architectural drawings and technical packages that meet quality, schedule, and budget targets - using Revit

• Produce high level details for drawing packages

• Complete design tasks such as programming and research

• Coordinating layouts, details, and assemblies with engineering disciplines

• Liaise with municipal authorities to support permit submissions

• Participating in site reviews and addressing technical challenges as they arise, respond to change order submissions and other CA related tasks

• Communicate with the project team and other stakeholders, ensuring technical aspects of the project stays on schedule

WHAT'S REQUIRED

• 5–12 years of professional experience on architectural projects with at least 4 years of working knowledge of the Canadian Building codes/bylaws

• Experience working with public-sector or institutional projects preferred.

• Registration (or eligibility) with a professional architectural association is an asset

• Excellent skills using Revit with prior hands on industry experience behind you

• Solid understanding of building codes, construction methods, and building systems in Canada

• Experience coordinating with multiple disciplines and stakeholders

• Diploma in Architectural Technology or related education

• Reliability clearance preferred or ability to obtain it (mandatory - this requires a background check dating back 5 years).
