In this role, you will work closely with Brian Armstrong, our CEO, and a small team to develop innovative consumer‑focused AI products, particularly focusing on designing the Coinbase AI Advisor experience within our Retail App.

Contribute to shaping product and design strategy decisions.

Oversee the complete user journey for Coinbase AI Advisor on both mobile and web platforms, from initial activation to continuous usage.

Simplify complex mechanics (such as risk, yield, trading, and tax implications) into user-friendly flows that empower retail customers to make informed decisions.

Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Research, and Legal/Compliance teams to identify problems, explore solutions, and swiftly deliver high‑quality experiences.

Create intuitive and visually appealing UI and interaction designs.

Conduct iterative design processes: brainstorm, prototype, test with users, and refine based on qualitative insights and quantitative data.

5+ years of product design experience.

Strong ability to convert ambiguous, technical challenges (like AI and financial products) into clear customer journeys and flows.

Proven history of successful product launches within a team environment.

Meticulous attention to detail and mastery in visual design, interaction design, and prototyping.

Excellent communication skills and experience managing cross‑functional stakeholders.

Ability to excel in a fast‑paced and sometimes ambiguous work environment.

Proficiency in Figma and various prototyping tools.

Collaborative spirit, humility, and an open‑minded approach.

Experience in designing AI‑driven products, such as assistants or recommendation systems.

Interest in and knowledge of financial products and/or crypto is a plus.

Experience in startups, particularly in building products from 0‑1 with a high degree of ownership.

Familiarity with financially regulated products is advantageous.

The target annual base salary for this position ranges from $180,370 to $212,200, depending on your work location. Full-time positions at Coinbase also offer bonus and equity eligibility, along with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
