Senior Interior Designer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Interior Designer to join our dynamic team at M Studio in Sydney, Australia. As a key member of our interior design and architecture practice, you will play a pivotal role in shaping hospitality venues that reflect our brand's distinctive aesthetic and meet the discerning needs of our clients. This is a full-time position, work from home.

• Lead the design and implementation of complex, innovative interior design projects from concept to completion.
• Collaborate closely with clients to understand their vision and translate it into functional, visually stunning interior spaces.
• Oversee the selection and procurement of furniture, fixtures, finishes, and commercial kitchen equipment that align with the project brief and budget.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure the successful delivery of design solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and excellence.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in interior design.

• Strong English proficiency in both Oral & Written is a MUST
• Proficiency in Revit and BIM management is a MUST as this is the only program we use for documentation. It’s a bonus if you have experience with D5.
• Degree in interior design, architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of proven experience in hospitality interior design projects. It's a bonus if you have experience in commercial kitchen design and commercial kitchen equipment.
• Exceptional design skills, with a strong portfolio demonstrating your ability to create innovative, functional, and visually striking interior spaces.
• Proficiency in design software, such as Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop.
• Excellent project management and client-facing skills, with the ability to effectively communicate design concepts and manage project timelines and budgets.
• Keen eye for detail and a passion for selecting and sourcing high-quality materials and finishes.
• Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively within a team.
