Whirlpool is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Industrial Engineer to join our Engineering team. This is an onsite role for our Marion, OH location.
The Industrial Engineer will play a key leadership role in driving/vetting productivity, optimizing manufacturing processes, and supporting cost accuracy across the organization.
Your responsibilities will include- Develop a project pipeline for cost takeout/loss removal including working closely with finance department to validate potential savings
- Drive continuous improvement through detailed/fact based analytics
- Support scoping of cost projects within the Marion facility
- Own all costing, routers, line balances, and labor utilization for projects
- Develop and maintain equipment capacity information and planning
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- 2+ years of manufacturing experience
- Data analytical skills
- Thorough understanding of Lean manufacturing, with an emphasis on Value Streams and Standardized work, WCM experience, specifically Workplace Organization and Focus Improvement preferred, EEM experience
- SAP and costing (routers, deletion factors) experience
- Well-developed communications, project management, coaching, interpersonal, and team building skills
