With a team of over 80 Landscape Architects, the practice is driven by the belief that high‑quality design can positively transform people's lives. Their expertise spans Green and Blue Infrastructure, Flood Alleviation, Master planning, Education, Aviation, Commercial, Defence, Active Travel, Transport, Urban Regeneration, Retrofit and Residential programmes, providing integrated, nature‑based solutions within a multidisciplinary environment. With strong pipeline growth across all sectors, the practice is expanding its team within the Midlands, Southwest and Wales region.
This role is available in Birmingham, Cardiff and Exeter, with a hybrid working model of three office‑based days per week.
Flexible arrangements such as reduced working weeks, purchased leave or structured return‑to‑work support are also available. This is not a graduate role.
It is suited to an Assistant Landscape Architect with at least two years' post‑graduate experience, ideally already working towards chartership.
Your New RoleYou will support and deliver a broad range of design‑led, multidisciplinary landscape projects across the UK. Your work will help shape sustainable, creative and impactful places within a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities- Working as part of a multidisciplinary design team
- Supporting landscape design from feasibility to detailed design
- Applying knowledge of SuDS principles
- Preparing reports, contributing to contract documentation and undertaking site supervision
- Supporting LVIA preparation in line with best practice
- Producing high‑quality drawings, visualisations, reports and presentations
- Working within a structured quality assurance process
- Using AutoCAD and Adobe Suite, with enthusiasm for Revit, Sketch Up and Enscape
- Supporting BIM‑related workflows and standards
- Communicating clearly through both digital and hand‑drawn techniques
- Degree, Postgraduate Diploma or Master's in Landscape Architecture
- Minimum two years' post‑graduate practical experience
- Working towards, or aspiring to achieve, Chartered membership of the Landscape Institute
- Experience across a variety of sectors such as schools, infrastructure, public realm or regeneration
- Understanding of LVIA methodologies
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite
- Familiarity with Revit, Sketch Up, Enscape and BIM
- Excellent written communication and report‑writing skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure
- Strong team‑working skills combined with confidence working independently
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for regional and national site visits
