Senior Manager - Talent & Learning Design

Job Description

Heathrow is creating a brand-new Talent & Learning function from the ground up and we need an experienced creative design senior leader to shape bold, modern talent and learning extraordinary experiences across our four propositions:
Talent, Induction & Leadership, Future Skills and Core & Professional Skills.

This isn t BAU. We re transforming from traditional programmes into always-on learning products, a suite of digital, blended, and in-person experiences that serve every colleague at every level. Think consumer-grade design. Think products and performance resources, not courses.

We have an exciting three-year strategy, by 2028, we re aiming for personalised journeys, a full LXP, AI-enhanced content and an offer that builds skills at the point of need. You will help define the tech requirements to make this a reality.

• Being the creative engine for our team, setting the bar for bold, modern learning design.
• Own design quality standards, digital content production, portfolio management and digital platforms.
• Oversee the workstack, shared resources and suppliers and product launch delivery.
• Partner our four proposition teams to build joined up talent and learning experiences.
• Lead a hybrid portfolio and design team to ensure all products feel unmistakably  Heathrow Academy

• A creative leader who has the ambition and skillset to lead the delivery of extraordinary experiences.
• Senior L&D experience and strong design-thinking expertise (5
  
  Di, Human Centred Design)
• Digitally fluent with authoring and digital production tools, adobe suite, storyline, evolve, video production tools and understands great accessible digital content
• Skilled portfolio manager, with experience prioritising a central workstack backlog, and leading agile cross-functional design teams.
• Excellent collaborator with strong stakeholder and supplier management.
• An innovator who fosters creativity, rapid design and feedback, and boundary-pushing ideas.

Our Hybrid working approach offers the opportunity for colleagues in some roles to work from home for an average of two days a week, providing the flexibility to work in an agile way whilst ensuring we deliver for the operational needs of Heathrow. Working arrangements vary from team to team and will be confirmed during the recruitment process. You ll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to Heathrow.
