Document Controller

Position: Document Controller (Permanent)
Location: Huntingdonshire

Our client is a well-established construction business with over 30 years’ experience. They work with a wide range of clients and have a strong pipeline of work secured for the year ahead, offering long-term stability.

The Role

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys organisation, working with drawings and documents, and being part of a collaborative design team. You’ll play an important role behind the scenes, helping to keep projects running smoothly by making sure information is accurate, up to date, and easy to access.

You’ll work closely with designers and project teams, learning how technical documents are used throughout a project’s lifecycle. If you like structure, variety, and being relied upon, this role will suit you well.

What You’ll Be Doing

Downloading drawings and documents from online portals for tenders and live projects

Issuing drawings and documents to clients and internal teams

Keeping drawing registers and project files organised and up to date

Supporting the design team and learning how different construction materials are applied

Assisting with the preparation and issue of as-built drawings

Scanning, photocopying and general document control tasks

Helping with ad hoc tasks and mandatory training as needed

What They’re Looking For

Experience in a similar office-based or document control role

Construction industry experience is preferred, but not essential

Comfortable working with drawings and electronic document systems

Experience using systems such as Aconex, Asite, 4

Projects, BIM 360 or Data Q is an advantage

Organised, detail-focused and happy working as part of a team
