Position: Architectural Technician (Permanent)
Architectural Technician

Location:

Central London
Salary: £35,000-£45,000 (dependent on experience)

A design-led architectural studio in Central London is looking for a skilled Architectural Technician to join its collaborative and creative team. The practice is renowned for delivering high-quality, innovative projects across residential, commercial, hospitality, and mixed-use sectors.

This role offers the chance to work on technically demanding projects from design through to construction within a supportive, design-focused studio environment.

Role & Responsibilities:

Prepare and coordinate detailed technical drawings, construction packages, and specifications
Support projects across all RIBA stages, from concept through to completion
Assist with planning submissions, building control documentation, and tender packages
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders
Ensure technical information complies with UK Building Regulations and industry standards
Contribute to design development while maintaining high technical accuracy
Support and mentor junior technicians where applicable

Skills & Experience:

Recognised qualification in Architectural Technology
Strong technical knowledge of UK construction methods, detailing, and regulations
Proficiency in Vectorworks, Archicad, AutoCAD
Experience preparing detailed drawing packages for planning and construction
Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
Collaborative approach, confident communicator, and proactive problem-solver
Previous experience within a UK architectural practice is highly desirable
