Senior Visual Designer, Design Systems

Senior UX Visual Designer with deep visual design skills to join Zoom’s Design System Team, leading creation of a cohesive design language across our platforms. In this role, you’ll own key areas of the design system and craft scalable, innovative experiences that enhance collaboration and creativity. You’ll work cross‑functionally to define design standards, shape intuitive user experiences, and ensure design excellence is at the heart of every interaction on Zoom.

The Design Systems team at Zoom builds the foundation of our platform, creating a cohesive design language that powers the entire Workplace ecosystem. Working with product teams, engineering, research, and accessibility partners to define standards and build high‑quality, scalable components that support intuitive and consistent experiences across Zoom.

• Leading high‑impact design projects for Zoom’s Design System, owning strategy and end‑to‑end execution with cohesive, production‑ready visuals.
• Defining visual style and design patterns across the Zoom ecosystem, ensuring a unified and seamless user experience.
• Collaborating with cross‑functional teams (designers, engineers, product, research, and accessibility) to align on direction, deliver impactful work, and champion design excellence.
• Setting and upholding high standards for visual and interaction design, including layout, spacing, motion, and micro‑interactions.
• Leveraging design principles and trends to guide decisions, drive innovation, and elevate the Zoom brand experience.
• Mentoring and inspiring designers, owning end‑to‑end design execution in Figma, delivering pixel‑perfect visuals, robust prototypes, and clear, high‑quality specifications that align teams, enable well‑engineered solutions.

• Hold BS or equivalent experience with 6+ years in product design and a robust portfolio showcasing exceptional user‑centered interaction and visual design.
• Have experience managing complex projects involving cross‑functional and cross‑team stakeholders, spanning different timezones.
• Have proficiency in Figma (our primary design tool) or the ability to quickly adapt, with experience in prototyping and relevant design workflows.
• Have a deep understanding of visual design, with a passion for polish and an expert eye for detail—spacing, layout, motion and framework.
• Have excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate design decisions, influence partners, and engage teams using thoughtful design thinking practices.
• Be a skilled systems thinker, experience contributing or maintaining design systems, solid understanding of user‑centered design principles and methodologies, experience with motion design an added.

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.
