Senior Architectural Technologist

Position: Senior Architectural Technologist (Permanent)
Senior Architectural Technologist required to join a medium sized, Retail focused Architectural practice based in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire.

This established chartered architectural practice has built a strong reputation across the UK and internationally for delivering high‑quality projects for major retail brands. Their portfolio includes premium retailers, department stores, and large‑scale roll‑out programmes, with notable experience in both shell works and interior fit‑outs. With a pipeline of new retail and commercial projects, they are now looking to strengthen their technical team with a Senior Architectural Technologist who can take ownership of projects and deliver coordinated, accurate technical information.

The practice is known for its expertise in BIM and its commitment to technical excellence, with Revit embedded at the core of their workflow. They operate across a broad range of sectors—including Retail, Commercial, Education, Healthcare and Residential—but retail remains their strongest and most active area of work.

The Role

You will play a key role in delivering fast‑paced retail fit‑out projects from design development through to construction. This includes producing Revit‑based technical drawing packages, coordinating with consultants and contractors, and ensuring projects meet the high standards expected by major national retailers.

This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys the pace, precision and problem‑solving nature of retail design, and who wants the freedom to work flexibly without compromising on career progression or project quality.

Key Requirements

Strong experience as an Architectural Technologist, ideally at senior level

Revit proficiency is essential

Retail or fit‑out experience highly desirable due to upcoming project workload

Ability to produce and coordinate detailed technical drawing packages

Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction detailing

Confident liaising with clients, contractors and consultants

Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team culture
