3D Designer

CELA Technology, based in Vancouver, BC, is a leader in AR, AI and 3D interactions dedicated to revolutionizing online shopping experiences for retailers and consumers. We are seeking a talented and experienced 3D Designer to join our team on a critical pilot project: developing a high-fidelity, interactive 3D configurator for a client in the outdoor recreation and specialty vehicle space. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a real‑time WebGL application that will feature dynamic component selection and e-commerce integration.

• 3D Modeling: Create high-quality, precise 3D models for various product components and configurable items.
• Asset Optimization: Efficiently convert high-resolution files (e.g., CAD data) into optimized, low-poly 3D models suitable for performant WebGL rendering.
• UV & Texturing: Perform professional UV unwrapping, detailed texturing, and consistent material application to ensure visual quality and performance within the configurator.
• Asset Pipeline Integration: Ensure all assets are properly structured and prepared for integration into our real-time content creation pipeline.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in 3D modeling and creating production-ready props/assets.
• Proficiency in main-stream 3D software packages (e.g.,
  3ds Max, Maya, ZBrush, Blender
  , etc.).
• Proven ability to work with and optimize complex geometry and technical assets for real-time rendering.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in UV unwrapping, texturing, and material workflows.
• Must be able to work from home (remote position).

• Experience with a WebGL content creation pipeline is a significant bonus.
