What You'll Do
As a Customer Support Representative, you'll be the first point of contact for customers, providing knowledgeable, friendly, and solution-oriented support. Your responsibilities will include:
+ Answering incoming customer calls and accurately logging all interactions
+ Supporting multiple programs and phone lines, including call transfers as needed
+ Educating customers on energy efficiency programs they may qualify for
+ Addressing and resolving customer inquiries related to products, services, billing, applications, and rebates
+ Handling customer complaints with professionalism and making appropriate recommendations
+ Making outbound calls for appointment scheduling, surveys, and program promotion
+ Following up on customer issues that require additional resolution
+ Providing timely updates on application statuses and rebate payments
+ Entering and maintaining accurate customer data in internal systems
+ Supporting Program Managers, Energy Engineers, and Energy Advisors as needed
+ Communicating with customers through alternative channels (email, written correspondence, etc.)
+ Maintaining reliable attendance and punctuality
What We're Looking For
We're seeking customer-focused professionals who bring both skill and empathy to every interaction.
Required Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ 1-2 years of customer service experience (call center experience preferred)
+ Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
+ Ability to manage a high volume and variety of work in a fast-paced environment
+ Detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated with strong prioritization skills
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
+ Strong data entry skills and experience working with tracking systems or databases
+ Ability to analyze information, solve practical problems, and interpret basic data
+ Comfort with basic math concepts such as percentages, fractions, and ratios
+ Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Port Washington, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms. If eligible, the benefits available for this temporary role may include the following:
